About Us

About US

ABBA – Aspiring Beyond Beliefs and Adversity is an Mpowerment project housing a group of individuals from ages 18-30 in the African-American community of Dayton, Ohio. We are here to provide the social support needed by individuals facing personal challenges being GBT in our community. We are also here to educate one another on HIV/AIDS awareness.

Our unique group of individuals come from all different walks of life, ranging from college students to high school graduates and young adult workers. We all share the common goal of succeeding in inspiration and education.

ABBA Mpowerment is a family representation that loves to have fun, but we also keep our events drug, alcohol, and sex free to continue our path towards the reduction of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases/infections and any negative stigmas placed upon our community based on stereotypes.

Our Motto:

“SAFETY is our Motto…PROTECTION is the Key!”

We are committed to family, fun, love, organization, community service, and more.
